How can I help?

That is the most important question! There are numerous ways in which you can help in this initiative and here are a few just to get you started. If you think there is a way that you could help which is not mentioned here, then do leave a suggestion in the comments section below and we will figure out a way to get you involved.

I live away from the hills but I want to help!

1. We have a wiki at http://wakeupthehills.shoutwiki.com where we plan to put in all the plans and details about what the problems are and how we want to tackle them. You can contribute by adding details of problems, possible solutions, and help in improving the wiki with latest data with references.
2. Read more about the problems and see if you can spot a solution that may be implemented in the hills. Suggest it in the wiki!
3. Are you a professional in a particular field and are capable of giving valuable suggestions/feedback to ideas or plans that are being finalized? Please share them so that we can make it more efficient.
4. Spread the word among anyone and every one who wants to help. The more, the merrier!
5. Gather with others who are interested in this initiative in your area and brainstorm.
6. Send in articles about initiatives that have been started, success stories or any interesting news you have.
7. Do you go to the hills for holidays? Connect with the local people and gather as much information as you can.

1. You are the hands of this initiative! Without you we have no hope. You are at ground zero and you are the one who can guide all progress. You will be the one who will finally decide if what the rest of the world has come up with actually works for the people. Join the cause.
2. You can educate the local people about all that we come up with here and bring back their feedback to this platform.
3. You will be the force during the organizing and realizing phase and will be executors of all the plans.
4. Organize local groups that will be ready for action as soon as we have a plan in place. Conduct workshops to get new volunteers to come up to speed.
5. You can do all the things that have been mentioned above for those of who live away.

Once again, we would like to emphasize that this is a people's movement. Until and unless we are able to convince the people to change, to give them the faith that change is possible and it is well within their power, we cannot be truly successful.
